FAQ:
Where do your donations go?
The Pagan Pride Project, Inc. collected over 23,000 lbs. of food in 2005. The food drive gives participants a way to share with those who are less fortunate while making a positive statement about Paganism. Donations of clothing and basic necessities go to homeless shelters and disaster relief organizations. Monetary contributions go to charities and to help cover PPP, Inc. administrative costs and PPD event expenses. The Pagan Pride Project utilizes an all volunteer workforce, with only the professional entertainers sometimes requiring payment. On the local level, “Dare to Care” is a non-profit emergency food and food bank program serving the Louisville Metro area for 35 years. Your canned food contributions go directly back to those in our community in need of the basic necessities of life. Back to top Do Pagans worship Satan?
Absolutely not. The concept of Satan originated in the writings associated with Christianity. Pagans do not believe in any deity or being that is purely evil, or in the concept of “hell” as described in Christian scripture. Most Neo-Pagans choose pre-Christian, Indo-European deities for spiritual focus, some of which have existed as far back as 3000 BCE. Back to top Are Pagans Witches?
Witches are Pagan, but not all Pagans are witches. Witchcraft is a specialized form of Paganism where one has extensively trained themselves in herbology, magick and divination, and many follow regimented Wiccan traditions. Back to top |
